History

June 1947: Eizaburo Abe founded the privately owned Eiwa Shoten in Nishi-ku, Osaka and began selling marine instruments and engine parts.
June 1948: The company was reorganized into a joint-stock company, Eiwa Seiki Co., Ltd., was established.
October 1951: Sales of pressure gauges etc. commenced.
September 1952: Eiwa Seiko Co., Ltd. is established as a sales company for direct consumers.
October 1952: Received permission from the Governor of Osaka Prefecture to sell measuring instruments.
October 1956: Established Futaba Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (now Futaba Tech Co., Ltd., a consolidated subsidiary) for the purpose of manufacturing our own products.
May 1959: Opened the Tokyo Sales Office (now the Tokyo Head Office) in Minato-ku, Tokyo.
December 1969: Opened Oita Sales Office in Oita City, Oita Prefecture.
March 1970: Opened the Kashima Sales Office in Kamisu City, Ibaraki Prefecture.
October 1970: Merged with Eiwa Seiko Co., Ltd. and changed the company name to Eiwa Seiko Co., Ltd.
February 1980: Obtained permission from the Governor of Osaka Prefecture for general construction work related to machinery and equipment installation work.
July 1981: Obtained a ministerial license for general construction work for the installation of machinery and equipment.
April 1987: The company name was changed to EIWA CORPORATION.
March 1989: Obtained ministerial permission for general construction work for electrical works.
November 1989: The Tokyo head office is moved from Minato-ku, Tokyo to Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo.
December 1989: Listed on the Osaka Securities Exchange's Second Section Special Designation Stock (New Second Section).
March 1993: Construction of new head office completed, Osaka head office relocated from "6-6 Kitahorie 4-chome, Nishi-ku, Osaka" to "7-1 Kitahorie 4-chome, Nishi-ku, Osaka".
January 1996: Following a partial revision of the Osaka Securities Exchange listing regulations, the company was listed on the Second Section of the market.
June 1997: The company celebrates its 50th anniversary.
April 1998: The company name of current consolidated subsidiary Futaba Seisakusho Co., Ltd. was changed to Futaba Tech Co., Ltd., and the Futaba Tech Co., Ltd. head office and factory location was moved from Nishinari-ku, Osaka City to Sakai City, Osaka Prefecture.
April 2001: Acquired all shares of Icon Co., Ltd. and made it a consolidated subsidiary.
April 2003: The company established a consolidated subsidiary, Elan Co., Ltd., which will focus on wholesale sales, and outsource some of its operations to the subsidiary.
November 2003: Acquires part of the business operations of Mitsui Bussan Machinery Co., Ltd.
April 2004: Established the International Sales Department.
November 2004: Opened Shanghai representative office in Shanghai, People's Republic of China.
February 2005: ISO 14001 certified.
September 2006: EIWA CORPORATION(SHANGHAI). started operations.
October 2008: Consolidated subsidiary Futaba Tech Co., Ltd. absorbs consolidated subsidiary Icon Co., Ltd.
July 2013: Following the merger of the Osaka Securities Exchange with the Tokyo Stock Exchange, the company was listed on the Second Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
October 2013: Acquired shares of Tobu Machinery Co., Ltd. and made it a consolidated subsidiary.
April 2014: Absorbed consolidated subsidiary Elan Co., Ltd.
April 2022: Due to a review of market classification by the Tokyo Stock Exchange, the company moved from the Second Section to the Standard Section.
February 2023: Established Taiwan representative office in Taipei, Republic of China.
